White Copal Resin 1/2 oz

Copal, sometime called “young amber,” is the hardened sap of a tree native to Mexico and Central America. Copal resin was used for thousands of years by the Aztec and Maya people to banish unwanted energies and create a holy atmosphere.

The scent of Copal is sweet and mildly spicy, with overtones of Citrus and Pine. Its uses include power and purification. Less assertive than Frankincense or Myrrh, Copal makes an excellent base for creating your own incense blends. Comes in a 1/2 oz bag with a complimentary charcoal tablet..

Burn over charcoal tablets or on an oil burner (see picture below).

Using an oil burner releases much more of the true aroma of the resin than charcoal disks and also creates far less smoke. Place a piece of foil in the well of your oil burner and lay a small piece of resin on top; this prevents lots of mess and cleaning after use. Alternatively, pour a small amount of light vegetable oil such as olive or sunflower into the well of your oil burner (depending on the size of your burner, keep the oil under halfway up the well) and place the resin in the oil

Never leave an oil burner un-attended. Keep out of reach of pets and children children.
