White Sage 4″ Torch
(with various gemstones)
Order is for 1 white sage torch dressed with rosemary and lavender accents topped with a beautiful citrine stone.
Burning sage is one of the oldest and purest methods of cleansing a person, group of people or space. This 4″ wand will last weeks if burnt daily, or longer is burnt less.
Used in rituals and ceremonies for centuries, white sage is often burned to create its intended effects. Burning sage is a ritual known as smudging. Smudging is a cleansing ceremony used to help people, places, or even objects get rid of negative energy or even bad spirits.
How to Use Smudge Sticks
Holding the smudge stick by the “handle” end, use a lighter to ignite the tip. Blow out any open flames so that the leaves slowly smolder. Next, wave the smudging wand around a room, person, or objects to direct the fragrant, cleansing smoke. Catch the ashes in a heat-resistant dish. (An Abalone shell is traditional, but you can use a smudge pot, incense burner, or even a regular ceramic plate, as long as you put something under it.)
Smudge sticks can be extinguished in a dish of sand and re-used many times. Of course, never leave burning smudges unattended.
Special Note:
These herbs are not food grade and would be consumed at your own risk. Best uses are for baths, sachets, or burning as to release the spiritual properties of the plant (more commonly referred to as smudging)
